About Me - Luke Jansen

Luke Jansen

Hi! I'm Luke Jansen, a creative, energetic, and fun-loving teen passionate about making people smile, coding cool projects, and exploring the world of flags, geography, and photography. Here's my story!

South Africa

South African Childhood

I was born on 12 September 2009 in sunny Durban, South Africa. I spent my early years at Penzance Pre-Primary and Primary schools. Life changed in 2016 when my family moved to Pongola, where I attended Pongola Akademie. By 2018, we settled in Scottburgh, where I joined Scottburgh Primary. These years were full of adventures with my little brother, Seth, born on 6 February 2019, and our beloved dachshunds Chloe and George.

New Zealand

In October 2019, my family moved to New Zealand just before the world changed with COVID-19. We lived in Orewa, where I attended Orewa North Primary (now Orewa Beach Primary). After surviving lockdowns, we relocated to Whangaparaoa in 2021. I started at Whangaparaoa College, a place where I made great friends and mourned the loss of one, Ethan Hall. In 2023, we moved to Glenfield, and I joined Westlake Boys, where I'm building new memories and friendships.

What I Like

My passions are as diverse as they are exciting! I started my YouTube channel, *Lukesworld-AWESOME10*, to share joy with the world. I discovered coding through Scratch, writing books like *Luke's World*, and drawing from a young age. Geography became a hobby in my teens, and I can now name every country and flag. Photography also became a love, founding *Luke Jansen Photography*. Minecraft has been a constant since I was 9, and Roblox since I was 8. Creativity fuels everything I do.

Close People

Family and pets mean the world to me. My mom, Natasha, has Italian and South African roots and works as an Office Manager for Alaska Construction. My dad, Anthony, with Dutch, Portuguese, and South African heritage, is an Operations Manager at Mercy Ascot Hospital. Seth, my brother, loves rugby and is known as "SethTheMachine." We have Albi, my friendly albino cockatiel, and fond memories of Snoopy, Peter, Chloe, and George, who were part of our South African years.
